Specialization
Although a Bachelor’s in Sanskrit Distance Education program comes with a common structure some universities may have additional elective focus area or optional subject in the last semester which included but not limited for. Vedic studies is a detailed study of Rigveda, Yajurveda and rituals, its major focus on Sanskrit literature, ancient text. Indian Philosophy is a program that focuses on Sanskrit grammar and the philosophical system of ancient times such as Vedanta, Nyaya-Vaisesika, Samkhya Yoga and others. Sanskrit Vyakaran is one of the languages which majorly focuses on Sanskrit grammar. Poetics and Aesthetics is a program that focuses on its poetics and aesthetic dimension which is further divided into a framework of Sanskrit literary criticism, exploring figures of speech (alamkara), rasa(emotions), dhavni(experience).
