For pursuing a Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry course,candidates have to complete class 12th in science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with a minimum 50% to 55% marks. Also students must have to appear for entrance exams like NEET or university-specific exams. 

Fee range for the UG courses depends on the institution’s type,but generally it starts from INR 20,000 to INR 1 lakh. 

Veterinary Certificate courses after 12th 

Students can take several veterinary certificate courses after completing 12th,including Certificate in Veterinary Physician Assistant and Certificate in Pet Grooming & Care etc. these courses mainly take 6 months to 1 year for completing. 

Certificate courses mainly focus on the techniques and knowledge needed for the grooming and care of animals,including proper hygiene and grooming practices. 

Veterinary Diploma courses after 12th 

Diploma in Veterinary Science after 12th offers a shorter and practical training in veterinary care. To be eligible for veterinary diploma courses,students need to have passed 10+2 in science stream with 50% marks. You can pursue veterinary diploma courses without NEET and the duration of these courses is 1 to 2 years. Fee range for veterinary diploma courses generally ranges between INR 1.30 lakh to INR 5 lakh. 

Veterinary Courses after 12th: Admission Process

• Check Eligibility: students must meet the eligibility criteria,which generally includes, completing higher education  in science stream with PCB with 50% aggregate score.  

• Entrance Exams: Many Veterinary colleges require  NEET-UG for admission.
